ListHolder Instructions

7. The master pane Action button.

When pressed, a menu of 6 buttons is opened giving 6 options:

  1. Edit folder option:

When 'Edit' is selected, the list of Titles enters Edit mode and the button itself changes to “Done”. In Edit mode, a red circles appear at the left side of the titles. Pressing a red circle reveals a Delete button. To cancel the delete action, either tap outside of the cell containing the entry, touch in the entry away from the Delete button or press the “Done” button to cancel out of Edit mode completely.

Also in Edit mode three-lined reordering controls appear at the right side of the titles. To rearrange the order of the titles press and vertically slide the right sided reordering control. When finished with editing or re-ordering, press the “Done” button to enter normal mode.

  2. Change list title option:

Reveals a panel that enables changes to the title of the currently selected list. The panel will show warnings if the title is changed to that of a list that currently exists, but will not block the change.

The 'Alter title' panel shows two buttons. The first button sets the title to relate to the current date and time.

The second button sets the title to relate to the date and time of the creation of the list. Lists that were made as copies of existing lists have a creation time that is the duplication time, and not of the primary list creation time.

  3. Alter list colours option:

Reveals a panel for changes to the overall colour scheme of the currently selected list. This is for all entries in the list other than those with individually set colours. Individual entry colour changes take precedence over general list colours.

The 'Alter colour scheme' button opens the Colour Chooser panel to show a list of potential colour schemes. The order of colour scheme options can be altered by selecting the 'edit' button in the top right of this panel then dragging the re-ordering control (which looks like 3 horizontal lines) up or down. Schemes can be removed via the left side red button. When not in editing mode, schemes can also be removed with a leftward swipe across the line. The list can be reset to its original via the button at the bottom of the list: 'Revert this list to original'.

  4. Entry colours option:

Reveals a panel showing colour options for the current entry in the current list. Selecting a colour scheme changes the current entry independent of the list colour scheme.

  5. Copy whole list option:

Reveals a panel to enable copying of the current list. The panel gives the choice of destination folder for the new version. The existing list is unaltered and not linked in any way to the copy. Deleting the existing list will not delete the newly created version.

Copying a list results in two versions with identical titles. If the title states a creation time, this will be incorrect as regards the creation of the new version - This might be desirable in some senarios but changing the title of the copy is generally advised.

  6. Instructions option:

Reveals a panel showing an indexed set of these instruction.
